Annamika: More than just a kaleidoscope for iPad AppsBy Mark Rollins - 07/29/2010 6:55:04 AM |
The other day, I reported on an iPad App known as Annamika, and I believe that I underestimated it.
I said that it had the ability to turn your iPad applications into a kaleidoscopic trip, but this is really only part of its functions. The video that you see here shows what it can do, and it is quite impressive.
Touch and drag to rotate one of the constantly morphing images, pinch to zoom in or out, or tap twice to change the full-screen image to the classic kaleidoscope circle. Speed and color can be changed, and screen shots can be saved to the user’s photo library. The app also takes advantage of the iPad’s new VGA-connector option and delivers live video at the device’s native 1024×768 resolution. “Essentially it turns the iPad into a Video-DJ tool,”explains Hubert.
In short, Annamika is capable of more than what I stated in my previous article. In fact, I believe that I underplayed it, and I might just want to overplay it.
