Android Market surpasses 20,000 appsBy Jeff Baker - 12/15/2009 11:46:36 PM |

While it’s still not on par with Apple’s App Store the Android Market has today reached a notable milestone: 20,000 apps. Of those 20,000 apps, 62.2% of them are free and 37.8% of them cost money.
To put that into perspective, the App Store has over 100,000 apps with 77% of them costing money, 23% of them free.
So who will reign supreme? Well, we’ll have to see how it plays out but with Apple’s lead over Google, it’s going to hard for the Android market to catch up.
