Just a couple of days ago we told you that Android 2.1 is already in the wild and it looks like today we have even better good news for you. It looks like there’s a leaked Hero 2.1 Eclair ROM available for grabs from the xda-developers. In case you know your way around Android and want to give Eclair a go then you can get it and install it on your Android device. The leaked ROM comes with HTC Sense on top but there’s no WiFi support and no Google synchronization support. But that doesn’t mean you can’t try it out already.

HTC is rumored to launch the new Android OS version by the end of the year although we have no idea when it will happen. What do you say? Interested in upgrading your phone already?
