And now some unverified words from Steve Jobs about Google and AdobeBy Mark Rollins - 01/31/2010 11:38:38 PM |
According to a deliberately anonymous source, someone told Wired magazine that Steve Jobs had a “Town Hall” meeting in which Steve had this to say about Google and the lack of Flash support on its mobile devices:
We did not enter the search business. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won’t let them.
It sounds like a raving and he even went to call Google’s “Don’t be evil” line “bulls__t”. Then he went on to comment about Adobe, calling them “lazy” and saying:
Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy. Whenever a Mac crashes more often than not it’s because of Flash. No one will be using Flash. The world is moving to HTML5.
I hope that this isn’t really what was said, and that the anonymous tip was just blowing smoke.
