Amtek U560 UMPC Unveiled

Amtek has just revealed the latest UMPC to soon be available to consumers - the U560. The U560 has a nice 4.8" (1024x600), which compared to a regular laptop isn't that big, but it works for what it is used for - quick mobile computing on the go.

The Amtek U560 is equipped with an 800MHz Intel A110 processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 40GB 1.8" 4200RPM HDD. The display screen slides up to reveal a backlit split-screen QWERTY keyboard. Other fun features of the U560 UMPC include two USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Synaptics-based pointer, 802.11a/b/g, an integrated stand, and a CompactFlash slot.

The Amtek U560 is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2007, with a price of $1,200 USD.
