AMD to Launch Neo-Based Nettops and All-in-One PCsBy Chris - 07/19/2009 9:30:04 AM |
AMD is ready to make a move in the nettop and all-in-one PC business. The company already has a platform ready to compete against Intel’s Atom platform. The Neo has so far remained pretty quiet but AMD is apparently going to use it in future nettops and all-in-one PCs. Here’s what Bob Grim, AMD’s director of client marketing said:
We’ve known all along that this type of technology would really work well in multiple platforms and multiple types of form factors. These CPUs perform better than the Atom processor, and the graphics are superior. These things… can play Blu-rays, they can play games.
AMD hasn’t revealed any details regarding any future products but we’re suspecting it’s only a matter of time until it does. What would you choose between Intel’s Atom and AMD’s Neo platform?
