By now you should already be aware of the official existence of the G1 handset from T-Mobile. It’s the main event of this September 23rd and we’re going to be talking about it for quite a while.
One of the features presented at today’s even was Amazon’s music store. The application will come preloaded on the G1. You will be able to search your music, buy it and download it to your G1 to listen to it later. Kind of like an iTunes store but from Amazon, and with no Genius on.
Amazon will offer about 6 million DRM-free songs. Basically you will be able to find almost any kind of music and I am sure more songs will be added on the way. In order to get the songs you will need a WiFi connection and about $0.89 ready to be paid per song. Full albums will cost from $5.99 to $9.99.
What do you think? Are you going to try Amazon music for a change.
