Since software for the Amazon Kindle is now available on the iPhone and PC, I suppose that it was just a matter of time before it was ready for the Mac.

Today, the Kindle App for the Mac is available, for free, putting the user into the Amazon Bookstore to purchase books or preview them. My source is wondering why anyone would want a Kindle device anymore, and I’m wondering if it has a point, but I don’t see the World’s Biggest Bookstore shooting itself in the foot as yet.
