Amazon Kindle 2 Price Dropped to $259; International Version $279By Chris - 10/07/2009 3:16:56 PM |
Amazon has decided to drop the price of the Kindle 2 and now the eBook reader is available for just $259 for U.S. customers. That’s $40 less than the previous price tag. If you were waiting for it to get cheaper, you can go ahead and order it right now.
In case you’re travelling outside of the USA and want to take the Kindle with you then you’ll be even happier to find out that Amazon has an international version of it. The international Kindle 2 comes with a GSM radio and an AT&T SIM card that will let you download eBooks while you’re away. The international Kindle 2 costs $279 and it’s available to pre-order. If you choose this version then you should also know that your books will be charged an extra $1.99 per download when you’re not in the USA.
