3mar10ou23grewrgWe’ve been hearing a lot about OviMaps, that lovely turn-by-turn navigation system offered by Nokia.

A recent announcement by Alpine, famous car stereo manufacturers, has stated that they will be partnering with Nokia to bring OviMaps from the phone (by USB or Bluetooth connection) to a 7-inch in-dash LCD, with the sound from the speakers. It even comes with some bonus features like keeping its eye on fuel levels, engine condition, as well as guiding the user to the nearest gas station.

We should be seeing this “in the near future”.
