Alienware Area-51 m5550 Notebook PC: Ships in Two Days

Just in time for the new school year, Alienware unleashed its new Area-51 m5550 Quick Ship Notebook PC, a special edition laptop that ships within two business days of payment confirmation and validation. The m5550 Notebook offers a 15.4" display and comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz processor, as well as 2GB of memory. For graphics, the laptp is equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card - great for work as well as games and video playback.

The Area-51 m5550 offers a 160GB 5400-rpm hard drive - that's a decent amount of storage for your school needs. In addition, there's an 8X dual-layer CD-RW/DVD+/-RW drive for backups and the like. The laptop comes with Intel 802.11g wireless access technology. The laptop offers a battery control option that lets you save on the battery by ramping down the CPU/GPU usage as well as lowering the cooling system when you don't need it.
