I’m not certain who the intended audience for the Alex is, but it is a subscription-based service. “There’s no maintenance, no anti-virus system to manage and alex is always up to date – we take care of all of that for you”.

Maybe it is for those who are getting a laptop for the first time. The Alex laptop computer itself has some unimpressive specs of 1GB RAM, 120GB disk, WiFi, webacm, DVDRW, and only requires one USB dongle to operate. Say what? Well, it is a monthly subscription-based service.
