2870546614_ae339d808aAcer has been doing some planning for this year, and they have set their sights high. In the next few months, they intend on launching a black-and-white 6-inch ebook reader. It is slated to be released in Europe, and may or may not make it to the United States.

Acer also intends on launching that Chrome OS netbook sometime in its third quarter, and have high hopes for it. I believe they intend the netbook to account for eight percent of their total sales. Dang!

As for the App Store, that s coming in June to support Android, Windows Mobile, and the Google Chrome Operating systems. These apps would be for free.

As for the tablet, Jim Wong, the president of IT products division, says “we will see what happens”.
