Acer to release Chrome Netbook

Some of you who have read the headline might think that Acer is making a netbook out of shiny, silvery metal. However, I am referring to the Operating System Chrome, which would make Acer the first company to produce a Chrome netbook.

The first foray into a partnership with Google was not exactly huge, as the Aspire One AOD250, the first Android netbook, did not sell as well as expected. Perhaps the Chrome will do better, and we’ll find out in the second half of 2010.
