Acer Low Cost Laptop PC Expected to be Cheaper than Asus EeeBy Mariella - 03/25/2008 11:28:38 PM |
When the Asus Eee PC came out less than a year ago, clamor and speculations of its quality ensued due to its unbelievable low price. Now, low-cost laptop PCs don’t raise eyebrows anymore. In fact, I think it’s starting to get a bit crowded in that arena, although I do prefer it that way. Acer is one of those companies aiming to release a low-cost laptop in the market. According to source, the new Acer laptop could even be $50 cheaper than the second generation Asus Eee Pc. While the earlier price states for the Asus Eee PC 900 is US$600, its free-on-board price is US$300-350. The new Acer laptop has a free-on-board price of US$250-300. The new Asus Eee PC version would be released either on April or on May while the new Acer laptop is slated for a May release.
