Acer announced today the new Ferrari Racing Pocket PC. The device is said to combine the unique Ferrari design with integrated GPS features aimed at mobile professionals looking for a distinctive, all-in-one device with the functionalities of a powerful Pocket PC and the convenience of an advanced GPS receiver. Personally, I'm not surprised with this news as Acer has long ago released its Ferrari notebook. I bet, this has got the same concept but this time, only with their line of Pocket PC's.

The Ferrari Racing GPS Pocket PC is the world’s first Pocket PC to bring the best Navteq map quality from the Ferrari world to the general public. The exclusive red glossy top casing of the Ferrari Racing GPS Pocket PC embodies all the performance and elegance gained from Acer's collaboration with Ferrari that constantly focused on innovation and renowned for pushing the boundaries of technology.

The Ferrari Racing GPS Pocket PC is supplied with a beautifully finished leather cover with fine red-leather stitching and racing shield in addition to an exclusive Ferrari stylus.

Wireless and GPS coverage allows your crucial information to follow you wherever you are. To keep you connected to company networks or your personal wireless devices, to hook up to the Internet, download emails and get the latest updates, the Ferrari Racing GPS Pocket PC features integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The new Ferrari GPS Pocket PC runs the latest Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system that provides a complete suite of office applications such as Pocket Outlook, MSN, Word, Excel and the new Power Point Mobile.

The Ferrari Racing GPS Pocket PC offers the best GPS technology available to guarantee efficient and reliable navigation: SirfStarIII LP GPS receiver and Navteq pre-installed maps (latest 2006 issues). High signal sensitivity allows fast fix and re-fix, allowing maximum precision in detecting your position, and strongly decreasing power consumption.
