Along with some Windows Mobile 6.5 hotness, we now have news that the upcoming Acer F1 smartphone will be powered by the blazing fast Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. But unlike the Toshiba TG01 which tops out at 1GHz, the F1 will be limited to a 800 MHz, which although low by computer standards, should be enough horsepower to run a cell phone without a hitch. As we said already, the handset will be running Windows Mobile 6.5 with Acer’s homebrewn Acer Suite 2.0 UI akin to HTC’s TouchFLO 3D and the same could hold true for the Acer E1 and L1, which will also purportedly run WM6.5.
According to AllAboutPhones who got to spend some quality time with the F1 recently at an Acer event, we might actually see a release date as early as September, so we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on this quick fella.
