Acer is proud to announce that their Timeline 1810T will be shipping for €499 within the next 2-3 weeks.
If you’re not familiar with Acer’s Timeline 1810T, let me give you a quick rundown. This laptop will feature a 1366 x 768 11.6-inch display, a 1.4GHz CPU, up to 4GB of RAM and a GMA 45000MHD onboard GPU. Additionally it will have an HDMI out port, Bluetooth 2.1, Vista and the option for 3G.
Again, you’ll be able to pick up one of Acer’s Timeline 1810Ts within the next couple of weeks for €499 or about $709.

Poor choice, Acer. I was willing to pay up to $450 for this piece, but 700 is utterly unreasonable. This is supposed to be a class between netbooks (300-400) and full size laptops (600-1000s). 700 is DEFINITELY not going to spark a new wave of CULV sales that will overtake the netbook craze.
Price is great since the 499 euros includes the VAT. So in the US, sans vat and converting from euros, it will be roughly $550 to $575.
Too bad it doesn’t have a backlit keyboard…it would almost be perfect if it had there.
