It’s officially official folks! Acer is going to launch its first smartphone next year. We’ll keep our eyes on Acer in Q1 of 2009 as the company has confirmed it will ship its smartphones.

Acer has purchased E-Ten Information Systems earlier this year and they are using it to develop its smartphone. We have no detailed information regarding specs and prices but we’re eager to see what Acer managed to pull off.
