Starting with December 14, this netbook will be on sale at Radioshack for a bargain price. The Acer Aspire One with integrated 3G wireless connectivity will be available for just $99.99 from Radioshack. Forgot what the Aspire One is all about? It is a 2.44 pound netbook featuring 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, a built-in memory card reader and it runs on Windows XP. The 3G broadband supports those portable connectivity needs of students, travellers and mobile professionals.
Peter Whitsett, RadioShack’s executive vice president said:
Many people internationally are already enjoying the portability, on-the-go connectivity and affordability of this emerging new technology. We are proud to introduce this concept in the U.S. by offering a netbook with integrated 3G functionality in addition to full Wi-Fi capability.
And here’s the catch! You will have to sign a 2 year AT&T Data Connect mobile broadband service agreement if you want it for only $99.99.

is it December 2008 or 2009 it will be on sale
I knew there’d be a “catch”. This is one of the oldest sales tricks in the book. The full retail price will pay for itself in about 3 months, equal to the monthly payments to AT&T. But you are committing 24 months to them! Then you only get about 4 GB to download per month. Such a rip-off.
First of all I have gotten mine for the full price, its lack the 3G thing, I use my at&t $15 data plan on my phone; a wire cable to browse the internet! works great….I think I only paid 350 for it…you might get it even cheaper now!
