A hoodie that updates Facebook

croppedhoodie_270x403This is a concept from the Seattle-based designer Jennifer Darmour. It is Ping, a “social-networking garment”.

This hoodie is designed to update your Facebook account wirelessly via actions done to the garment. For example, taking off the hood will poke a friend, tying the waist bow will accept a friend request. A vibration on the shoulder equals a new notification.

I don’t know how this hoodie knows what friend will poke, and what friend its accepting a request from. Still, it is step in an interesting direction for wireless clothes.
