This is not just a tablet I’m about to show you here. It’s more than that, it’s a mini notebook tablet. Personally I am getting tired of all these Eee-like UMPCs and MIDs popping up day after day. Some are at least trying to offer something different while some of them are not going to make it in this tough world.

So this A-Book will be a 7 inch tablet PC with touchscreen display, WiFi and Bluetooth support. The 5G 800MHz processor and the 512MB RAM should power it up but I am frankly disappointed with these choices. Going forward we’ll find a 4GB NAND flash, an integrated webcam, 2 USB ports, an Ethernet port and a VGA and MMC/slot. Rumors say that Aware will offer 3G and GPS support to those that require it. There will be a Linux OS on board while battery life is estimated to be 4 hours. As for dimensions the A-Book measures 225 x 165 x 40mm and weighs 870g.

But hey, for $300 what do you need more. Yes, you got it, these are rumored to sell for only $300.
