We could check out the iPhone 3G after a month of existence without wondering what the App Store performed in the same period. After 3 days 10 million applications were downloaded. After 27 more days, 50 million more applications have been downloaded totaling 60 million apps worht $30 million.

Most of those 60 million apps are free to download, while those the rest cost between $0.99 to $9.99 or even $999. Steve Jobs talks about the App Store with the Wallstreet Journal. While not disclosing official numbers, here are a few: $21 million went to app developers; $9 million went to the top ten apps; Sega’s Super Monkey Ball got $3 million for about 300,000 downloads. And the discontinued piece of crap I Am Rich is sold to 8 people bringing a $5,600 to the developer.

How many apps do you actually use? I mean besides the obvious mail, browser, maps and camera? How many time do you access them a day? How many do you download?

Let’s see where the App Store will be in a couple of months. More people will get the iPhone so more downloads will add to the count. More developers will get their creations up. But will anyone hit the jackpot with an iPhone 3G application?
