New Zeeland is the luckiest country this week. Due to their global positioning, they will be the first to launch the 3G iPhone. Vodafone is selling the iPhone in New Zeeland too and they will start it Friday, July 11th at 12:01AM local time in Auckland City, Wellington and Christchurch. Let’s see how Vodafone has prepared for this market.
We have three plan versions and they are all 2 year long. The basic iPhone 250 costs $60 per month and it includes 120 minutes, 600 SMS messages and 250MB of data. The iPhone will cost $415 or $528 depending on the version.
The iPhone 500 intermediary plan costs $98 per month and it includes 250 minutes, 600 SMS messages and 500MB of data traffic. The iPhone costs $339 or $453 this way. The most expensive plan is the iPhone 1GB plan which costs $189 per month. You get 600 minutes, 600 SMS messages and 1GB of data transfer. The iPhone costs $150 or $264 depending on version.
Without a contract, the 3G iPhone will cost either $740 or $853 depending on version while data plans in this case will cost $22.63 per month for 200MB per month or $37.74 per month for 1GB.
So New Zeelanders out there, how do you feel about those plans?
