Surely you understand all this iPhone hype right? Everywhere you twist and turn there are iPhone rumors and official news going on. Next to them lots of pictures of boxed phones, happy customers, and bored to death people waiting in line. Apple is estimated to make about $1 billion during the launch days only, not to mention what will follow.

Other people are going to make money off Apple’s creation. After only a few hours of being officially released into the world, the 3G iPhone appears in auctions on eBay. It probably did appear on eBay even before hitting the retail stands.

The bad news for buyers is that you get a $1200 iPhone. That appears to be the buy it now price for the 3G iPhone. New and unlocked. Would you rather get the iPhone this way? If money is no object for you than this price might not even be that high. But are you sure you will get the 3G iPhone? What if some of these are just scams?
