Just like Microsoft did earlier this year, Google is also announcing that it doesn’t plan to make any phone of its own. But Microsoft was designing Project Pink phones which were canceled as soon as the whole T-Mobile Sidekick issues started. Should we assume that Google is also secretly planning Android phones?
Andy Rubin has denied such rumors and we tend to believe him for now? After all, why make an Android phone when you have so many manufacturers making Android phones for you? Instead Google should focus on the software part that brings the magic to Android phones.

iPhone OS 3.1.2 has been unlocked already and you can expect to be able to unlock your iPhone on November 4. The unlock is possible thanks to Geohot, the same hacker that managed to jailbreak OS 3.1.2. Next week you should be looking for Blacksn0w which will do the trick for you. In case you use Blackra1n for jailbreaking the iPhone then you’ll be able to download the unlock solution straight from it.
Just make sure you know what you’re doing before performing any jailbreaking and/or unlocking operations. We’re certainly not recommending such activities which can lead to all sorts of troubles with your carrier, not to mention Apple, in the future.

Comics have become the next focus of attention as far as apps for the iPhone or iPod Touch these days and it looks like a marquee comic label will be joining the ranks of Comixology, iVerse and Panelfly. Last August, the lack of known comic brands was brought up here on Mobile Whack and it looks like the developers of the app heard us.
Several new and classic comic book issues will be added to their roster which should get the fancy of people who have started using their iPhones for their comic book collection and reading needs. Prices vary among the three developers though but if you want the cheapest one, then Panelfly should be it with a $0.99 price tag although you may want to consider the comic issues before deciding to purchase the app and from whom.

So lets recapitulate: the good news is that the iPhone was released on China today, 30 October; and the bad news it that the Chineer iPhone version doesn’t feature WiFi. How bad can it get? The prices are considerable expensive as well, prices start at $720 and go up to $1,025.
Anyhow, rumours mention a possible second batch of iPhones to be released in the future that will come with WiFi, and by that time we’ll expect the price to drop as well.
