Samsung has today released the full list of countries that will be getting the Omnia II at some point this month including France, the UK, Germany and Australia. However, the United States failed to make the cut, what gives?
Considering the device was slated for an August 23rd Best Buy release a few days ago we can only point towards some sort of problematic delay as the cause.
Hit the read link for the full list of countries that will be getting Samsung’s Windows Mobile powered Omnia II this month.

What you see above is supposedly a shot of the next generation iPod touch that is rumored to be supporting a built-in camera sat next to a last generation iPod touch.
As you can see, the camera is in the same exact spot that the cases spotted earlier today showed it to be. We’re not exactly sure why the back of the device is ridiculously scratched or if this is the handwork of a Photoshop-smith. Either or, chances are we are going to hear about the next gen iPod touch next month so we’ll have to wait until then to see if these photos are real.

Recent reports suggest that Samsung is preparing to launch their Android-powered Galaxy in the UK sometime next week.
News comes to us from O2 employees who say the Galaxy has appeared on their store’s stock management system stating the phone will arrive next week. There’s no official confirmation from Samsung or O2 that this is actually happening but if you have your eye on this device, hold off another week just to be sure.

Despite rumors that Apple was gearing up to launch some sort of OS X running iTablet before year’s end, word comes to us from John Gruber and Jim Dalrymple who say the device will not hit store shelves until 2010.
Below is a quote from Dalrymple discussing the matter:
Very reliable sources familiar with the product have said speculation of the tablet being introduced during the September event are flat out wrong. The Apple tablet, they said, would not see the light of day until the first part of 2010.
The event in September will be focused on music, which means we could see new iPods and perhaps some updates to iTunes. The tablet computer will not even be mentioned as part of the event, my sources said.
So, even if we don’t see the device until 2010, that doesn’t mean there is absolutely no chance that we will hear about it next month at that rumored Apple event.

In case the ridiculous amount of iPod touch and iPod nano cases we showed you last month wasn’t enough evidence to convince you that the next generation devices will feature a built in camera, today we bring you, more cases!
What you see above are cases for the iPod touch 3G and iPod nano 5G that show a camera in the exact same locations that the previously spotted cases had them. What’s more, the Portuguese store these pictures were taken from quickly pulled the pictures, issuing the below letter of apology:
Yesterday a new set of products for iPod in our catalog, we have been asked to remove them. It was then clarified that we were not allowed to publish it. We have immediately accepted to remove that information, and would like to express our sincere apologies to our costumers. We are expecting to make those products available in September.
Not allowed? As in, you published them too soon? I think it’s safe to say we will see an iPod touch 3G and iPod nano 5G announcement this September.

The iPhone’s official Chinese debut may not be far off as recent reports suggest that China Unicom has ordered 5 million devices from Apple to the tune of 10 billion yuan (around $1.46 billion). This deal came to life after Apple and China Unicom reportedly worked out a deal to disable the phone’s WiFi making it legal to sell in China.
There’s no word on when China Unicom will actually make the iPhone available for purchase but our sources seem to be sure that it will be sometime in September.

Back in May we got our first official glimpse of the 12.1 megapixel camera touting Sony Ericsson Satio. Now, a few months later, the device has finally made its way through the FCC which leaves us with the above live shot of the phone.
Spec wise this device is said to only feature GSM 850/1900 which means it will only have EDGE and no 3G however, at more details are revealed this may change. Now we just need to know what carrier (if any) will pick up Sony Ericsson’s Satio.

As devices become more advanced and the prices of such devices continue to drop, the number of devices a single owner generally has is on the up rise. Thanks to Bluelounge’s Refresh Charging Station the need to carry around a whole array of AC adapters can be non existent.
This particular charging station includes the ability to charge up to 6 devices simultaneously using its 2 iPhone/iPod ports, 2 USB ports, micro USB port and mini USB port. This means (as you can see above) you can charge your Blackberry, iPhone and iPod all at once without having to clog up your power outlets.
Bluelounge’s Refresh Charging Station is available now in pink, white and black for $89.95.

Last month we notified you of a phone that HTC was said to be working on codenamed the Leo. Today we bring you two renders that are supposedly of the HTC Leo.
Several things make these shots generally unbelievable, first of all it has a Pro.Three branding on the back which doesn’t make sense considering HTC has always included a QWERTY keyboard with their Pro offerings. Second of all, there is a block of text under the Pro.Three branding that is nothing more than filler text (lorem ipsum, etc.).
So while our source seems pretty confident that these are actual pictures of the device, we’ll have to wait for official confirmation until we put any stock in this one.

One of the main complaints surrounding the Palm Pre is the fact that there is no on screen software keyboard. Instead, every time you want to type a quick message or search for something on the internet, you have to slide out the QWERTY keyboard.
Well, thanks to the guys over at webOS Internals this may soon be a thing of the past as they have unlocked the Pre’s ability to utilize a software keybord. Now, at this point it remains a proof of concept but once they get the bugs worked out there will most likely be a consumer-ready version available for download.
We’ll just have to see how Palm takes to it if/when it’s made available.
