I don’t know about you but I usually make sure I go to the bathroom before going to the cinema. That way I am not going to miss even the most boring parts of a movie. But just in case you’re used to taking bathroom breaks during movies there’s an application telling you when to do that.

With RunPee for iPhone you will know exactly when to make a run for it and pee. The application is great for getting you to the bathroom while making sure you won’t miss a thing. And the application will tell you what happens during that particular break so you’re actually not missing any action. RunPee is available now from the App Store for just $1 but I’d still go to the bathroom before a movie if I were you!

I don’t know if it’s the economy or the fact that Apple has some really cool products available but it looks like people are even considering robbing Apple Stores. The Apple Store Clarendon in Arlington, Virginia, was robbed and the perpetrator shot and wounded one of the employees. Nobody died but I am sure some people got scared. The victim was shot in the shoulder and it will survive as the injuries occurred are not life-threatening. The robber hasn’t been caught yet and we can only assume he will try to rob various establishments in the future. Especially since we don’t have any idea of what was stolen. Did he get the money he was looking for? Was he looking for iPhones or Macs?

CrunchPad Tablet to Arrive Soon?

You must have heard about Michael Arrington’s CrunchPad web tablet concept by now. Well then you should also know that the device is said to arrive really soon. According to various sources the CrunchPad is expected to be available “as soon as possible” and an official release should occur sometime in July or August.

The CrunchPad will cost around $300 but will you pay that much for just a web-oriented device? That’s right, the CrunchPad will only get you Internet access! There’s no internal hard drive and there’s no Windows support. It’s not a netbook tablet but an Internet tablet that boots straight to its WebKit browser. The device will offer you a 12-inch touchscreen, Flash support, an Atom processor and support for a physical keyboard.

The CrunchPad might just be the gadget we’ve been waiting for. Unfortunately it will be quite useless when there’s no Internet support, wouldn’t you say?

We can definitely see Sony Ericsson pairing its interesting Xperia design with an Android OS. In fact that’s a more than good idea. An Android Xperia could be the killer phone we’re expecting from Sony Ericsson.

But the Sony Kiki concept isn’t bad either. For one thing, this phone is really green so should we expect it to be really eco-friendly too? It’s so green it doesn’t even have any keypad. So how would one be able to interact with it? Simply press your finger against that glass right? That seems pretty logical but we have no official news from Sony Ericsson regarding this phone.

And what about the screen of the Kiki? Is it projected on the glass surface? It would certainly seem so:

The display seems to be made of glass, and the screen image appears to be projected onto this glass surface. It makes it possible to create a sort of depth in the screen image, and it looks rather exciting. We’re very much looking forward to seeing more of this.

Again, there’s no official Sony Ericsson position on the Kiki just yet but our interest has certainly been piqued.

While you’re still deciding if you want a new Archos 9 tablet, UK customers can already know what to expect from Archos. The manufacturer announced the pricing system for the UK. The Archos 9 will come in two versions: 80GB and 160GB. These will cost around $735 and $816, respectively, and according to the latest available rumors the tablet is coming sometime in September. That’s earlier than expected since Windows 7 is going to be officially out on October 22. And the Archos 9 is going to have Windows 7 under the hood. You do the math! When will Meizu stop copying others and start innovating? Meizu must love the iPhone since it tried to create its own version, the M8. We talked a lot about this iPhone-like phone and I have the feeling we’re going to see more phones coming from Meizu in the future. In the mean time we’ve discovered that Meizu also loves the Pre. According to some leaked photos of the new Meizu M8 UI, the new firmware is based on Palm’s new webOS. And this new firmware is coming out sometime in July or August. That means that all those five current M8 owners will end up with an iPhone-like phone soon that speaks webOS instead of iPhone OS. What do you think, is Meizu on to something? Is it possible to combine Apple and Palm in order to get a better smartphone? Will Optimus Prime like this transformation?

  • As you are already aware, there’s a jailbreak solution for the iPhone 3GS and it hasn’t been developed by the iPhone Dev Team. And while the Dev Team is still working on its own version, the purplera1n has been updated. The jailbreak solution has now support for that upcoming Windows 7 and it will work well on 64-bit systems too. Other improvements include various kernel patches, correction of terminal errors, an enhanced payload execution and more. Winterboard support is expected in a future version. OS X compatibility is also coming in a future update so hang on to your hats if you’re not using a Windows-based computer at home. And just in case you upgraded your iPhone to OS 3.1 then you should also put your jailbreaking thoughts at ease for now.

People who want to be up to date with the latest sports scores can look to this new version of SportsTap for reliable scores when needed. And the best thing about it is that you don’t need to log on or refresh because it takes the initiative by asking you initially.

Instead of just offering the basic choice of whether to let notifications use sounds / alerts / badges, or serving me up alerts on everything the app deems a major headline, it lets the user choose which sports, and even which teams they want to get alerts on, making it easy to follow a team.

A great app for people who bet on scores and the die-hard fans who want to know who is winning, the SportsTap version 3.0 is the app for you. The app is now available at the App Store for free.

  • At this point we’re not sure how much merit you should put into this rumor, but take it as you will. A Danish mobile phone site, Mobil, has recently gotten their hands on what they are calling internal documents showcasing an Android powered Sony Ericcson XPERIA reportedly codenamed Rachael.

According to the documents, this phone will feature a full 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8MP camera, HSPA and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other than that, no details were spoken of. However, if this handset is truly set to hit the market sometime we can expect a statement from Sony in the coming weeks/months.

For most laptop owners, many of you will notice that the bottom of your notebooks would normally be warm or at times offer a burning sensation. Among the remedies are laptop coolers to help avoid injuries such as burns on your legs. Now, a company that specializes in such coolers have officially launched their website of cooling stands which should offer you various choices to address laptop heating issues.

Specializing in a multifaceted laptop cooling desk, LaptopsCooler.com is an independently run web store operated by Miles and Krista Cornell. They carry a line of potable laptop cooling stands that can be used anywhere, from park benches to airport seats.

“These are crucial for people who are always on the go,” said Miles.

“How often have you used a laptop and found yourself taking it off your lap moments later because it’s too hot?” asked Krista. “I know several people to whom it’s happened to.”

There is no doubt that iPhones are some of the most technology advanced phones today, but did you know that new evidence is showing some interesting new features on the horizon for the Apple phone? According to some reports, patent applications for the company include things like RFID tag readers, fingerprint identification technology as well as haptic feedback.

The haptic feedback will allow users to use their phones or MP3 players without actually using the screen, a good option for driving. The RFID reader will be added to those phones with touch screens. They will imbed these readers in the iPhone or iPod to get the phone into corporate and industrial areas. The fingerprint identification will help users to use each of their fingers to access different information on the device.

  • Duet D8: Not Worth The Money?

The Duet D8 seems to be an iPhone lookalike, but it may not be worth a look at all, reports some reviewers. The phone does offer dual SIM card slots and it gives you average to above average call quality. Unfortunately, there are not many other good things about this particular device.

The Duet D8 does not have a smooth working touch screen like the iPhone. It features a keyboard that is hard to use and manipulate. While it does allow you to talk on two lines, it does not offer the flawless movement and flexibility that the iPhone does. It may not be worth the investment, especially since the iPhone is now priced lower.
