We were expecting this whole nettop movement. After Asus and HP it’s time for MSI to roll theirs. The MSI Wind Box is a small computer which can be attached to the back of any VESA mountable monitor. Inside the black box there are all recordings of in-flight communication there’s an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, three USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and Windows XP. France will get it for $254.
Why not get a laptop instead of a nettop? Can anyone give me a smart answer to this question? And leave the price out of it! Wonder what’s the next nettop to be launched.

Well. here’s good news for all solar energy fans out there! How long have you been dreaming about this? We can all charge our handsets and small gadgets while making Mother Earth happy, all at the same time! The iPower SX solar charger is, as we found out, able to give your classic iPod an extra 50 hours of music play. It will charge iPhones, Nokia handsets, game consoles, cameras and other MP3 players.
You can buy it for about $62, but only in the UK for the moment. And since the UK isn’t necessarily the sunniest country on the globe, the dudes over at Battech, included a USB port on the iPower SX, enabling you to charge it from your computer!

You’re in for a deja-vu here. The LG KB770 will remind you of HTC’s Touch HD smartphone when it comes to watching videos on your phone. There’s a big difference though. The LG KB770 comes with a DVB-T tuner which will get you free-to-air digital TV broadcasts. It comes with a 3 inch touchscreen for a great TV watching experience.
Other than that the KB770 has tri-band GSM and WCDMA 2100 support, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA connectivity, but not WiFi support. And there’s not GPS which is really surprising. The 3 megapixel digital camera with autofocus will also come in handy and you get a second camera for video calling. Well we could be impressed but we’d rather disappointed it lacks two major features.
The phone might already be available in Germany and you’ll get it for 449 Euro without a contract.

While this year’s Formula One season has come to an end, the next season is approaching. We’re not interested in what FIA is going to do with the new engine rules but we’re rather keen on checking out LG’s Formula One special edition handset. If there’s ever going to be created! We don’t have the exact details yet but we know that LG has reached an agreement with F1. LG’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dermont Boden said that LG is “looking to develop products in the future with Formula One.” Other F1 themed LG products might be created to and we might not have a handset at all!

I don’t know how much time you spend downloading stuff but if you’re a hardcore downloader you should be interested in Princeton Japan’s 5TB NAS. Loof for the DN-503AH-PDC. It supports RAID 0/1/5/6, 10/1000 Ethernet and hot-swappable HDDs. As you can see, the standard NAS features are present. Will you be able to download the Internet? Not likely but those 5TB should get you a nice chunk of it. Keep an eye out for this NAS this December. It will arrive in Japan and hopefully other markets will follow.

Nokia might not be that strong in Japan but it’s doing rather well in other markets. How does Nokia do it? Well it must be the quality of their phones or something like that.
If you’ve never had a Nokia you might want to try it. The N85 or the NAM will be released in December, or next week to be more precise. That’s the North American version, so don’t be surprised if your country won’t get it yet.
The N85 is available for pre-order and it will cost $556. Interested? It will be in stock on December 6th on Amazon.

We have talked about the Alexander and the Attila, two new Windows Mobile phones from Motorola. We have an general idea of what these smartphones are capable of but we don’t have clear release dates and prices. Some said we’ll see them by Q4 2008 but that might not happen.
It looks like Motorola is going to work with the Taiwanese hardware manufacturer Compal and Moto has already sent orders for two Windows Mobile phones. The handsets will arrive in Q1 2009 which means Santa won’t be able to deliver any Alexanders or Attilas this Christmas.
