20,000 AT&T Workers to Go on Strike?By Chris - 02/06/2009 7:06:32 PM |
AT&T workers aren’t happy and they might act on it. AT&T Mobility have been involved in contract talks with the Communication Workers of America but they failed to reach an understanding. That means that 20,000 AT&T workers could go on strike any day now. CWA has voted in favor of a strike if future negotiations will fail to work. The current contract will expire tonight at midnight but AT&T doesn’t seem that concerned. AT&T says the most unionized workers and they are prepared for any scenario, even if that means strike. As for the strike thing, before it starts it has to be approved by the executive board of CWA and the president has to set a date. What will happen with AT&T if the workers go on strike?
