Touch screen LCDs are beginning to surface more and more. We’ve seen the Shuffle 19 last week at Computex 2008, it’s time for Princeton Technologies to show us an LCD tablet for the Japanese market. Would you use one? Let’s say you are a regular Joe like me, not an artist who would love to get his hands on a stylus and make his work more efficient. Will you play with that a large touchscreen? I mean is it healthy for my eyes to get even closer to the screen? Is it healthy for my hands to be held in an uncomfortable position?

This 19 inch LCD tablet called the PTB-TMW19B (what a sexy name) will feature:

  • WXGA+(1,440×900 resolution)
  • 850: 1 contrast ratio
  • 300 cd/m brightness
  • 5ms response time
  • 170 degrees viewing angle
  • stylus pen with stand
  • one USB port
  • speaker (2Wx1)
  • software bundle (Corel Draw Essentials 3, Corel Photo-PAINT Essentials 3, MyScript Stylus)

If you ask me it’s a great idea and a great monitor which I won’t be buying soon. I’ll let you know if anything changes.
