Apple has just recently celebrated the 1-year anniversary for their game-changing App Store and now, just a few days later, they are ready to release some numbers regarding the service. Make note that just about 3 months ago Apple announced that over 1 billion apps had been downloaded at that point.

According a recently released press release, over 1.5 billion apps have been dwonloaded from the service since it went live one year ago. Additionally, they have said that there are over 65,000 apps currently offered on to service and over 100,000 developers currently enrolled in the Developer program.

Will these numbers be too high for competitors like Microsoft and Palm to keep up? Only time will tell.
