Here we are with another Eee PC wannabe. Everex are planning to launch a 10.2 inch mini notebook to compete against the Eee PC 1000 series. But Everex is going to add a little cherry on top. Their laptops are rumored to include 3G WWAN and an optional WiMAX connection. Further more, VIA’s original open book used for the Cloudbooks so far might be used for the 10 inch version as well.

We don’t have all the specs yet but here’s what’s rumored on the street about the upcoming 10 inch Everex Cloudbook:

• a 1024 x 600 display with LED backlighting,
• processor: Intel’s Atom or a rival from VIA’s
• up to 2GB of RAM,
• a 1.3-megapixel webcam.
• two USB ports,
• an express card slot
• 4-in-1 memory card reader,
• WiFi b/g,
• HSDPA & HSUPA WWAN,
• dimensions at 263 x 185 x 32mm,
• weight 1.2kg.

This is certainly a more complicated mini laptop than what we’ve seen so far so it might be more expensive than its peers. This Cloudbook might be subsidized by wireless providers but this is another unconfirmed rumor. The smaller 8.9 inch version will be launched in Taiwan and Japan by the end of August while the US customers will get these WiMAX Cloudbooks in September.
