1 Beyond RL 4212 and RL 5215 Rugged Laptops

While the 1 Beyond GoFlex317 laptop focuses on high-definition performance, the new 1 Beyond RL 4212 and RL 5215 rugged laptops are designed for rough conditions. These laptops passed the Department of Defense's MIL-STD 810F standards, which means that they can endure extreme moisture, temperature, and altitude among others.

The 1 Beyond RL 5212 has a casing made of magnesium alloy which makes it drop-resistant. As it's 20 times stronger than plastic, it's also spill and vibration resistant. It has a 15.4 inch screen, DVD player, full keyboard, up to 4GB of RAM, as well as 160GB HDD (SSD option is also available). The laptop designed for both military and commercial environments runs on Intel Core Duo 2.4 GHz processor and comes pre-installed with Windows XP Professional.

The 1 Beyond RL 4212, on the other hand, comes with a smaller 12.1-inch screen, a full-sized keyboard, integrated GPS, fingerprint scanner, wireless functions, and SmartCard. The devices runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with its RAM upgradeable up to 4GB, and a 80 or 120 GB HDD.
